A lovely, if cold early morning session. Once again I was rigging up in near darkness at 7.30am on a freezing cold beach. I though about rigging my 5.7m as it seemed quite windy, but decided that i was thinking it was windier than it was just because of the cold and as it was flat water went for the 6.3m instead.

I put loads of neoprene on today as well, 1mm rash vest, 2mm hooded vest, Sola semi-Dry suit then my helmet... I ended up being a little too warm at times, although my face was pretty humb. Still, I'd rather be too warm than too cold.

Once on the water it was pretty clear that the 5.7m would have been a better option. even so, I had a good time maxed on on my 6.3, with some nice lay down gybes and a few carving 360 attempts to cool myself down (I can't do them so they always end up in a spectacular dunking).

Needless to say no one else was out with me, but they should have been as the wind was a lovely constant 20-22 knots, and once the sun got above the horizon it was a lovely sunny day without a cloud in the sky.
